Idol Tour on the ropes?

American Idol season XIV is now down to a top nine with the elimination Wednesday night of Diamond Bar’s Adanna Duru and Maddie Walker, the pride of Iowa. That leaves Daniel, Quentin, Joey, Tykanna, Jax, Nick, Qaasim, Clark and Rayvon to battle it out for the title. But maybe the bigger news of the Idol day was the morning telephone press conference held jointly by Adanna and Maddie. Both admitted that they – nos. 10 & 11 to be eliminated… Read More »

Sarina-Joi Crowe’s exit interview

Here is the exit interview with Sarina-Joi Crowe who made it to the Top 12 but was eliminated last week: Q: So, based upon your performance Wednesday night, were you shocked that out of everyone in the top 12, you apparently got the lowest votes. I mean, a lot of viewers didn’t see that coming. Sarina-Joi: I wasn’t shocked. I wasn’t exactly happy with Wednesday’s performance. I knew it wasn’t my best. The Top 11 (presumably the Top 10 will… Read More »

Her elimination not only halts her dream of winning the competition, but… Read More »

Idol gets a little convoluted

It gets a bit convoluted now. But, hey, it’s American Idol and it’s almost always convoluted. So, here’s the plan. Eight boys and eight girls performed last week, on Wednesday that  Sweet 16 will be cut to 10 – five boys and five girls. But hold that note. The judges will name two Wild Cards. But contestants who were eliminated prior to this will not be eligible. That Dynamic Dozen will then reprise their audition songs for viewer votes. The… Read More »

Idol – Here’s who needs to go

They came Wednesday (boys) and Thursday (girls). They saw Motown and Detroit. But did they conquer? NOT. As hard as American Idol might be trying, it is not getting the talent the show so desperately needs. The idea here is to take a dozen girls and a dozen boys and whittle the number down to eight each. Very easily they could cut it down to four each after this week’s performances. So, who are the four in each group who… Read More »
