Here are four words to live by after Wednesday’s American Idol show: “Super Special Surprise Twist!”

That is what the show’s host, Ryan Seacrest, said was coming Thursday night.

Guess here is that they won’t eliminate anyone. For starters, they screwed up the “save” concept by A) not saving anyone yet; and B) not revealing the parameters of the “save.” So, common sense says they didn’t have any parameters for it and to “save” face they need to implement it in a corny way Thursday night.

As far at Wednesday’s offering by the four remaining contestants singing a song of their own choice and another by a 1-hit Wonder, well, it changed nothing. Candice Glover is still the best but it does seem like the judges are pimping hard for Amber Holcomb.

We will find out in a matter of hours what is happening that is so Super Special Suprising with a Twist on a show that is sinking faster than the Titanic. Thursday night Season 9 winner Lee DeWyze (yawn) will perform along with Stefano Langone, another Top 10 finalist in years past (double
yawn).
