But if they do, then AI is in some serious trouble.

In a recent study (Dec. 21-22) using 800 AI viewers, HCD Research using its MediaCurves.com website reports that 47 percent of those viewers say they would watch AI less if Simon leaves.

Of that 47 percent, 58 percent said they wouldn’t watch the show at all without Mr. Cowell.

All that said, and now that the news is finally out there that he is leaving after the 2010 season, here is a two-part question:

– Will you stop watching when he is gone?

– Who should replace Mr. Cowell?
