1. MK Nobilette – “Perfect” by Pink –
Just don’t think she is that good of a singer to begin with. She tries and that’s about it. No energy, just leaves you yawning. Sleepy performance. She’s not good in front of a big audience. Harry did not think it was one of her stronger performances. MK feels it was one of her better performances…until she messed up. Really? She needs to go now.

2. Dexter Roberts – “Cruise” by Florida-Georgia Line –
Dexter. Seriously is he related to Mark Cuban? An overweight Mark Cuban? But he is not one of the Sharks, or is he? No guitar this week, OK. Another, although not quite as bad as MK, yawner. We now have heard 20 percent of the Top 10 and we’ve seen about 5 percent talent. Nothing that’s gonna make me buy a ticket to the Summer Tour. Tries to get the crowd into it and fails miserably. Good song choice, poor performance. The judges agree that to sing a cover, the singer has to make it memorable.

3. Jena Irene – “Clarity” by Zedd –
Keith called this the best performance of the night. Well, that isn’t saying much. Jena says that electronic music is “up and coming.” OK, let’s hope not, where is rock when we need it? But BTW she was the best of the night so far. Ryan refers to the show as IdolNation. Gag me.

4. Alex Preston – “Story of My Life” by One Direction –
“Well done,” says Keith. He calls him an artist. “You always sound like Alex.” Jlo loved it. He reminds her a little of Buddy Holly. Seriously? But it was better than the first three performances.

5. Malaya Watson – “When I Was Your Man” by Bruno Mars –
When she’s not screaming it works, and she’s not. Jlo loves that she left in the pronoun. It gave her goosies. Harry loved her sincerity. He felt she was completely present. He senses that she’s so hungry to learn.

6. Caleb Johnson – “The Edge of Glory” by Lady Gaga –
Caleb not as good as he has been, but still better than most of the finalists. Much too repetitive. Harry likes the song choice, but he’s had better performances –an A for originality. Harry says he does loud really good (Is that a compliment?). Keith says he delivers every week vocally. But this week, the song was lumbering, like his voice was too big for the song. Keith mocks Harry’s music-speak.

7. CJ Harris – “Invisible” by Hunter Hays –
His sharp notes, ouch. By and large he is mediocre. In fact, the kid leading my church choir would put him to shame. Harry explains how CJ is singing sharp. He needs to work with the AI folks to fix it.

8. Jessica Meuse – “Pumped up Kicks” by Foster the People –
She loves the happy melody juxtaposed with the dark, dark lyrics. I kind of agree but the lyrics are really, really dark, dark, dark and she’s smiling while singing them. Oh, my goodness. Otherwise, good job on a song that just might be from a One Hit Wonder group.

9. Majesty Rose – “Wake Me Up” by Avicii –
Being in the bottom 3 was scary, sad for Majesty. She’s on guitar this week. She realizes she has to pull herself out of the bottom. Jeez. It’s like Majesty has completely lost it. Harry likes what she did with the tune. She’s smart and complex. Keith didn’t like the arrangement.. Jlo noted the fear in her performance. Keith and Jlo were right on. She felt the second half of the performance was better than the first. Maybe someone should wake Majesty up right now or it’s gonna be over real soon.

10. Sam Woolf – “We Are Young” by Fun –
Good song choice, good singing, but still way too tentative on stage. I don’t ever recall any group of a Top 10 being this shaky on stage.
