Nick/Norman’s gone, we can relax now

by admin

Fairly forgettable show, unless you enjoyed Nick/Norman Marshall’s responded to Ryan Seacrest’s question of what will you do if you don’t make it through?“I’ll be looking for employment,” Nick admitted as Ryan could him and the audience that 25 million folks cast votes last night. It would be interesting to really know how many Nick received. A guess? Oh, maybe 50,000.Well, this morning Nick is probably “signed, sealed and delivered” … Read More »

3 more are about to be in, but one of them won’t be Norman, we hope

by admin

This wasn’t the greatest display of raw talent, but then again the winner might emerge from this dozen. Best switch the producers made was to put the parents/friends in the audience and eliminate the segment where they were on camera with the contestant right after their performance was critiqued. That was more than a little awkward. We’ll do a quick rundown and then give you our winners for the night. The numbers … Read More »

“The Blue-Eyed Soul Patrol” – oh, my

by admin

This one is true. You can’t make this kind of stuff up. After being selected Wednesday night as three of the anointed top 12, Michael Sarver, Alexis Grace and Danny Gokey appeared on Fox News for the obligatory interview session the next day. It was then that Sarver proclaimed he was going to switch from a country-based singer to a soul man and that the trio had proclaimed themselves as (now … Read More »

Archuleta the “Last Man Standing”

by admin

Let’s see now … that fame … it lasted just about the equivalent of 15 minutes, right? It seems like A-I is getting to be “first place or no place.” The rumor has it that Clay Aiken has been dropped by his recording label RCA. If true, and it probably is, Mr. Aiken is yet another 2nd-place A-I finisher who has been given the boot. The others include: Katharine McPhee, Diana DeGarmo, … Read More »

Tatiana you can stop crying now – Alexis, Michael and Danny are in

by admin

Will someone please check on Tatiana? Has she stopped crying yet? Has she congratulated Danny? So, with the usual melodrama and an unusual number of votes (24 million as opposed to about 14 million same time last year), we have three finalists in the house: - Alexis Grace – Michael Sarver – Danny Gokey Grace was obviously the top female vote-getter and Gokey the top male. Ryan Seacrest said that Sarver beat out … Read More »

Gokey, Grace, Braddy should advance, you agree?

by admin

It might (and please emphasize the word MIGHT) have been a good night for A-I ratings, but it was not a good night (and please emphasize the word NOT) a good night for talent. Twelve contestants incredibly full of nerves and less-than-stellar song selection. It kind of makes you wonder how bad those who didn’t make it this far must feel now. Certainly in a lot of places around the … Read More »
