Idol Top 12

The American Idol season 14 field was cut to a Top 12 contestants Wednesday night, but San Diego’s Loren Lott was not included in the final dozen.

Through viewer voting, the final 16 were cut to a final 10 and then the judges – Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick, Jr. – were allowed to add two of the remaining six finalists but Lott was not selected.

Her elimination not only halts her dream of winning the competition, but also knocks her out of the opportunity of joining the Top 10 finalists on the lucrative Idol summer tour. The champion will be crowned on May 14.

Lott’s departure means that the only Californian still remaining is Diamond Bar’s 18-year-old Adanna Duru who was one of the two “judges’ saves” Wednesday.

In addition to Lott, others eliminated included Mark Andrew, Adam Ezegelian and Alex Gomez.

The Top 12 finalists: Clark Beckham, Joey Cook, Sarina-Joi Crowe, Nick Fradiani, Jax, Tyanna Jones, Qaasim Middleton, Rayvon Owen, Daniel Seavey and Maddie Walker. Ten of the contestants were chosen by America’s votes and the remaining two contestants – Quentin Alexander and Duru – were wild card picks by judges.
