Before we go any further with this (and, by the way, whatever happened to the “save”? Maybe they are hanging on to it for the show itself!) , here are predictions of the
final order of finish:

4 – Amber Holcomb: She was a throw-in for the Top 10 in the beginning, performing  well, the competing talent was mostly dreadful, so here she is America.

3 – Kree Harrison: Not unlike a thoroughbred coming out of the gate she blazed to the front of the pack, played it safe week-after-week, exposed her vocal weaknesses and now she’s lucky to be on the Top 3.

2 – Angie Taylor: An original composition early on vaulted her into the “fan’s favorite” slot and she steadily maintained that spot. If there is going to be a surprise over the final month she would be it.

1 – Candice Glover: Solid singer. As Keith Urban asks: “Would you buy her record?” Probably not, Keith, but with that voice and outgoing personality there is a spot somewhere in the music industry for her. And remember she was one of Jessica Sanchez’s partners in “Group Week” in Season 11 before she was summarily dismissed .

And as we head to the all-girls finish line of Season 12 here are some other Idol tidbits involving past participants:

This isn’t the first time that the Final 4 were all females. In season III after George Huff was voted off the remaining foursome was Fantasia, Diana DeGarmo, Jasmine Trias and La Toya London…

Idol Season 7 winner David Cook will be on the May 2nd Idol show singing his new single “Laying Me Low”…

And Season 10 winner Scotty McCreery has revealed that his new album, which has 12 songs completed, will feature a fiddle and steel guitar on some of the tunes…
