I believe we will do more on Nicki Minaj (i.e. NM) later, but RealityTV.com has a nice piece on Thursday with her talking about her angst while on Idol and the fact that she almost quit (we almost got our wish) as a judge at one point.

Following is a comment left on the story. It just about sums up a lot of folks feelings about the show this season. Too much judges, too little contestants. That’s about the only way to evaluate the critiques. The show’s execs may be hearing the comments, but they aren’t listening…

Here’s the comment:

..I BELIEVE THE ENTIRE SHOW NEEDS A MAKEOVER. LAST NIGHTS BAD TASTE OF ALL JUDGES USING CELL PHONES WHILE ON AIR SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED. IF YOU OR I GO TO A MOVIE, WE ARE ASKED NOT TO USE OUR CELL PHONES WHILE THE MOVIE IS IN PROGRESS. ALSO BOTH NICKI AND MARIAH NEED TO GO. 2 AIRHEADS! I CAN’T STAND THE FACT THAT NICKI IS A RAPPER AND TRIES TO GIVE COMMENTS ABOUT SINGING! AND THE SHOW IS BASED ON SINGING TALENT – NOT FASHION!

Wednesday night and Motown performances did little to change much. Lazaro is still the bottom-feeder and Candice is on top. In between take your pick, but put Kree second. So it’s: Candice, Kree, Janelle, Angie, Amber, Burnell, Devin and Lazaro.

Thursday night Keith Urban will judge and perform…And so will OneRepublic

From the “Good For Him” file …. After his appearance on Idol last week, Casey Abrams saw his album sales rise 2,000 percent. Casey do ya think you need a little better marketing of your product!? Duh…

Looking back … Idol Season 3. That’s when Jon Peter Lewis finishied 8th. This week he performed on The Voice and was selected to be Team Adam (Levine). There is life after Idol on other shows.

Just sayin’… in case you happen to be in NorCal this weekend and you enjoyed the music of Crystal Bowersox, here is where you can see her perform live: Friday – Harlow’s in Sacramento; Saturday – Uptown Theatre in Napa; Sunday – Frieght & Salvage Coffee in Berkeley.

P.S. Or tonight (Thursday) you could jet on over to Flagstaff, Ariz. Where you can catch Phillip Phillips at the Prochnow Auditorium.
