Random thoughts on Hollywood Night Part 1 for the girls…

Does Mariah always have to flip her hair? We get it, she is in love with her ‘do, but enuf with the flips…

Ryan really is the glue that holds the good ship Idol together, but he still says idiotic stuff, like, “The hell of group night!”  Well, I guess it is, for us, not the contestants…

Candice Glover has a big voice and will go far but she is no AI Top 10er in my book…

Word for this year – loud. That seems to be the way to go to be successful , but will it work? OMG I hope not…

Kez Ban …if you have seen way too much of her please stand up… Boy George wannabe never should have gone to Hollywood in the first place…

Certainly not a fan of group portion of the show, but I have to admit the group called the Swaggettes (Melinda Ademi, Kamaria Ousley, Candice Glover and Denise Jackson) performed one of the best group numbers ever to “Hit Em Up Style”.  All four went
through and deservedly so.

There were 76 of the 162 girls who made it to the group round… probably should have been more like 60.

The all-country quartet makes it through – yawn…

The group called Almost Famous butchers their song totally. For some reason Daysia Hall advances when in reality all four should have been on a plane headed home.

Do you get the feeling they are saving Kez’ group for the end of the show? Of course they are…and if they put her through the show goes one step closer to being a joke…

The Dramatics messed up the words to “If I Die Young” and all four of them still advanced. Credibility 4, Idol judges 0.

Urban Hue loses Seretha Guinn and the others go on. Guinn was the contestant whose boyfriend was in a serious auto mishap. When they finish, Keith asked is it over; Mariah says I hope so. Yet, they keep three of them…

Groups: Two Snaps (loses one but performs well); Group X  (the obligatory group with one member begging for a second chance, of course she didn’t get it);  (Ryan just pimped an App for Idol Nation – enuf with the Nation moniker please); Four You (half go through; even Stefonie didn’t understand how she made it); Dolly Chicks (one uncooperative contestant who still makes it through)…

And finally The Misfits featuring Kez Ban singing “Be My Baby.” Janelle Archer carries the group and all of the others should thank her. Thursday night Kez is on her own…again.  Would they dare put her into the Top 20 females?
