A summer-long American Idol
concert tour that concluded with a gig in the Philippines is in her rear-view
mirror, so you would guess it’s time for Chula Vista native and American Idol
Season 11 runnerup Jessica Sanchez to relax … right? Wrong.

Last week in Los Angeles at the
American Idol (Season 12 starts Wednesday), early premiere, Sanchez told MTV
News that her debut single is due to be released in February. It’s expected to
be a duet with Ne-Yo.

Next, a little later in February,
comes her post-Idol album with 17 tracks, which was her goal. “It’s me, soulful,
but more dicey,” Sanchez also told MTV News. “It’s all completely me and I’m
excited about all of it.”

The album release is expected to
coincide with her four-episode gig on Glee.

And if that’s not enough, Feb. 14 Sanchez and fellow Season 11 Top 10
finalist Colton Dixon will return to the Philippines for another concert
date.

And, just think, a year ago at
this time she was still weaving her way through the rigors of the Idol
process.
