If history means anything, and, oh yes, with Idol it means a lot, then we already have a winner.
But now comes the hard part - figuring it all out beforehand – who will receive Hollie’s votes? who will get the votes of the teenaged girls? will a female ever win this contest again?
So, and you are certainly welcome to participate, here are Idol Chatter’s odds to win:
8-1 – Phillip Phillips – That Dave Matthews thing can only go so far … but then again just maybe he has won the hearts of those teeny-boppers and the title is already in his back-pocket … but that is doubtful…
3-1 – Jessica Sanchez – She is an awesome singer and win or lose there is a singing career in some fashion in her future. In fact, if she indeed does not win she will have a more lucrative career than any of the three … but remember there was a reason she had to be saved a few weeks ago and that doesn’t bode well for this week or next…
2-1 – Joshua Ledet – At this point, all-around, consistently you just have to anoint Joshua to follow in those huge footsteps of Lee “Whatever Happened to Him” DeWyze.
Now let me see what you think…

I personally don’t want Joshua to win. It has to do with the judges standing up and clapping for him over and over.It turned me from kistening to him to timing as to just when they would be standing up in the song. Plus mostly he screams, he can control it but mostly he screams parts of his songs. THere I’ve said it.

I hate to say it, but it’s always the cute white boy who wins. I think in this case, though, Philip actually stands a better chance of having a career than Lee, or Kris, or David Cook. He definitely has more talent than any of them. Though Jessica COULD get the “I wish it was me” vote that got Jordan Sparks the win.

Joshua is a screamer, and for whatever reason, the judges have decided that he is their favorite. Their standing Os for every song he sings is getting tiresome. Despite the fact that he’ll be lucky if he sells more than a few thousand CDs, I agree with you that he will win.
Jessica, on the other hand, could be the new Mariah Carey. She’s got the voice and the looks, and may develop the charisma as she matures. Phillip has a niche audience, and may have a small but lucrative career ahead of him. That’s my two cents, anyway!
