Lee tells the the dandy dozen to remember why they tried out in the first place, they’ll be OK no matter what happens. Meaning… what? Most of them won’t have a music career? Hopefully, that’s what Lee meant cause a majority of these 12 will disappear into the fabric of the music scene.

Back to the results. Scotty McCreery, Pia Toscano and James Durbin take center stage. All three are safe.

Next up are the Black Eyed Peas doing the premiere performance of “Just Can’t Get Enough.” They dedicate it to the Japanese people but I just don’t get that part. Nice gesture but it should have been something else.

Next: Naima goes back to the couch first. Then Haley is sent back. Karen is left to sing for her life and the judges’ save. She performs “Hero”. She begs to stay but to no avail. Goodbye as Randy delivers the bad news.
