Kris Allen, winner of Season 8 of American Idol, is coming to Santa Rosa.
We all know that – 8:30 p.m., Dec. 11 at the Last Day Saloon in Railroad Square. Event is sponsored by radio station Mix 104.9.
But what you don’t know is that Kris wasn’t particularly ecstatic over the Giants’ winning the World Series.
“I’m an Atlanta Braves fan,” Allen said in a phone interview on Wednesday morning.
So, while he’s happy for the Giants, he’s also still a little upset that his Braves lost to SF in the postseason playoffs.
If Allen hadn’t made it big in the music world, did he have any athletic ability?
“I played a little baseball as a kid,” Allen admitted. “I was a catcher.”
Ah, a budding Buster Posey? “Naw,” Allen admitted, “he’s a Giant, not a Brave.”
