American Idol Season 8 winner Kris Allen is coming to the Bay Area June 27th and Idol Chatter talked to him on Thursday while he was on tour in Mobile, Ala. about the appearance and what he’s been up to since winning the title.

You can read much of what he said in subesquent posts, but for starters we just wondered if Kris had ever heard that he sounds very much like the lead singer for the Script.

Here, give a listen to their hit single Breakeven and see if you don’t agree that at least there is a faint resemblance to Kris’ voice.

Here is what Kris had to say about the comparison:
“You know, no one has ever told me that I sounded like him. But that guy (Script lead singer Danny O’Donoghue) has a great voice. So, that’s quite a compliment to be compared to him by anybody.”
