Katie Stevens outta here. Not so much because of her talent (she has the possibility to be good down the road somewhere), but more from the voting public. Just thought because of the “Tween” constituency she would last into the Top 5. And she was improving week-to-week. Maybe those voters just didn’t like her sassiness this week. I guess a cocky teenager is a turnoff.

No surprise…

Andrew going home brought tears to the eyes of his family (and Lee), but no one else seemed overwhelmingly shocked. He had long ago slid down the ladder. Andrew needs guidance and a good management team. At the very least he could be a one-hit wonder, he has that kind of voice. Maybe he’ll blossom on the Tour this summer.

Adam, Adam, Adam… Oh, Mr. Lambert I was so looking forward to hearing you sing “Whataya Want From Me” but man was that a letdown. Adam seems compelled to “changeup” everything. He didn’t need to “changeup” that song last night. OK, OK, granted I am old-school, but I agree the kid can sing. So, why not just do that? He took a perfectly delightful song that is his own and just about butchered it. Someone out there somewhere has to agree with me.
