I was trying to come up with a way to pinpoint exactly how David Cook came across on Tuesday morning. But it’s kinda hard for me to do that cause I’ll admit, I’m a huge Cook fan, not only for his music but for the person.
He was in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I was in Santa Rosa, California.
Couple of years ago, about this time, he was trying to get more votes from the American public than David Archuleta so he could be the next American Idol.
Tuesday morning he was explaining to me and a few other reporters via a conference call his role in Idol Gives Back this season.
You can read that explanation at length on a different post. From his words you can begin to see how articulate he is. And from the above picture…nothing more need be said…
He was only in Ethiopia three days. Probably seemed way too short to him.
We’ve changed. Ethiopia is a half-a-world away on one hand … on the other it’s right down the street. Someone in Addis Ababa might have read this before someone in Santa Rosa did.
We’ve all become closer. Cook realizes this more than ever now.
It will be difficult to watch that show on April 21st and not give something to help. I bet Cook will.
