We don’t know who is going home after tonight’s show, but we do know who will be leaving AI after this season – Simon Cowell.

Unfortunately, for AI, Simon has been better than ever – spot on with his remarks, cutting and biting with honesty to the core and sometimes further and just, well … Simon being Simon.

These performances will make the show that much harder to find a reasonable replacement for next season.

Here are some of the comments he made on Tuesday night:

Lee Dewyze – “Treat Her Like A Lady” – Temptations

“I’ve always believed in you. I want you to go home tonight and
watch this back and know that your life may have changed forever tonight.”

Siobhan Magnus – “Through The Fire” – Chaka Khan

“It sounded as if you’d run a marathon and you were singing
while out of breath. You were all over the place, I think you look all over
the place. It was by far your weakest performance. I’m getting bored with
your screaming at the end.”
Andrew Garcia – “Forever” – Chris Brown

“It was miles better from what we have heard from you, only problem
is, as a person, you come over as very boring. You’ve got start showing
some personality, that you care. At this point in the competition,
personality is important.”

Katie Stevens – “Chain of Fools” – Aretha Franklin

“Comparing you to Christina (Randy did) is crazy. I thought it was pretty
good, but very robotic, quite cold. You’ve got to make it fun. It was all a
little bit star search. I think the advice Kara is giving you is wrong.”

Aaron Kelly – “Ain’t No Sunshine” – Bill Withers

“That was a little like a cupcake after the main course. I’ve heard that song so many times sung brilliantly on this show. It was OK, but there’s no chance you will be leaving this show tonight.”

Tim Urban – “Sweet Love” – Anita Baker

“I don’t think it makes any difference whatsoever what we say. It’s a completely inappropriate song, like a mouse fighting with an elephant, you’ll keep smiling, but people will vote for you, and you’ll be here next week. So, well done.”

Didi Benami – “What Becomes of a Broken Heart” – Jimmy Ruffin

“It was like swimming in jelly. It was so over the top, so old-fashioned, so off melody. It just didn’t do it. You’ve completely lost your way.”
