Kara DioGuardi filled in for Kelly Ripa Monday morning on the Regis & Kelly show. Among other things, she said:

– At times during her initial AI season she felt like a lost cousin and that she always felt like an outsider.

– She is going to do a two-day concert gig of her own (April 9-10) at Atlantic City’s Borgata.

– She is on the cover of Women’s Health magazine.

– Her father, Joe, was in the audience.

– She met her husband while he was working on a neighbor’s house. He stays out of the limelight, is a beekeeper and did appear in the audience during one AI show this season.

– She said prior to AI last season she was never on television.

Much to her credit, she filled in admirably.
