You kinda wonder what it takes with some contestants.

Even after they make it to the Top 24 they still don’t seem to get it. Or maybe it’s just that they don’t have that much original talent to begin with.

Singing talent – absolutely.

Originality – beyond a doubt.

Those are the ingredients for AI success.

They have to take a song (i.e. Cook; i.e. Lambert) and make it their own. Now that is probably much easier said than done, but it’s the truth. If they are going to last it’s the only way to go.

And Tuesday night’s all-female night was a perfect example.

Twelve singers, maybe four stood out. Maybe.

If this is to be a female year as Randy and Simon have proclaimed it to be, then we are in for a horrid experience on Wednesday night when 12 males take center stage.
