Just in case you are all bent out of shape worrying about the future of American Idol now that Mr. Cowell has one foot out the door, well, relax a little.
The Hollywood Reporter is saying that Fox is working on ordering three more seasons of AI with the show’s two producers – FreemantleMedia and 19 Productions.
The current deal goes through 2011 and this would add three more seasons on to that.
So, somewhere right now there is a 14-year-old warming up to be the next AI in 2014. Simon or no Simon.
