David Cook’s appearance on the Regis & Kelly show Friday morning after his GMA performance was brief.
Here, in part, is what he said:
– On his AI win: “I had no idea I’d go all the way. Every Tuesday after our performances I’d go back to the hotel and pack my bags.”
– On Paul Abdul’s leaving AI: “She was kind of the cheerleader of the group. While Simon was harsh when we were on the show, once you get out on the road touring you realize he wasn’t that bad. Maybe now Randy will become the cheerleader. But I wish Paula well.”
– On his new tour partner: “Yes, I have a dog, a Scottish terrier named Dublin. He eats his bed and pees on it a lot.”
– On his current tour: “We started on Valentine’s Day and we’ll go until the end of the year. So far it’s going really well.”
Cook then sang “Come Back To Me.”
