The rumors continue to escalate on Simon Cowell and his contract talks with AI. The UK’s Guardian is reporting he has signed a $144 million deal.
To that, Simon said:
“I wish! Come off it,” Simon tells “Extra” correspondent Terri Seymour. “It’s absolute nonsense … crazy, crazy nonsense. Speculation. Not true. Nothing has been signed.”
Anoop Desai had an interesting comment regarding Simon prior to Saturday’s AI Tour show in Oakland.
“In a sense he’s the show,” Anoop said. “He’s like larger than life. As a contestant a lot of times he may not be saying what you want to hear, but he is saying that you need to hear. It’s obvious his intent is to motivate you.
“But face it, no one is worth $100 million a year.”
Simon has confirmed that he is talking to Fox and AI about his future with the show and says no deal has been struck yet.
