OMG, what were they thinking.

Combined, the trio that performed on Wedneday night’s A-I offering are 186 years old and at times they looked and sounded like it.

First of all, if anyone should have been lip-syncing it sould have been Freda Payne (66). I mean for a singer with her better days behind her, she looked good, but the voice … lip-sync Freda, lip-sync…

Next up was Thelma Houston (62). OMG No. 2. She looked like Big Bird prancing around and falling out of her top. At least twice she pointed to Simon and once referenced his name in her song leaving him only to blush.

And, finally, it was KC (Harry Wayne Casey is his real name) & the Sunshine Band’s turn. KC, looking all the world like a relative of ESPN’s Chris Berman, really needs to sit home and count the money he made during the Disco Era. At least Freda and Thelma tried to move. Had this act been outside on a lawn KC (58) would have killed the grass standing in one spot.

I guess I don’t know when the Disco Dynasty ended, but I’m certainly glad it did…
